Sofia Bucay
Ms. Bucay is an investment adviser representative of IPG Investment Advisors, LLC. She is also a registered representative of Investment Placement Group (“IPG”), a securities broker/dealer, where she held a position of Associate from 2002 to 2008. She has held a position of Managing Director since 2009. Ms. Bucay has experience in international banking, prior to working at the Firm and IPG; she worked as a trader from 2000 to 2001 at First National Bank in San Diego. Before that, from 1988 to 1999 she worked also as a trader in Masari Casa de Cambio in Mexico City, Mexico, where she oversaw currency trading, research on price trends and volatility of world currencies.
David Gaistman
Mr. Gaistman is an investment adviser representative of IPG Investment Advisors, LLC. He is also a registered representative of Investment Placement Group (“IPG”), a securities broker/dealer, and has held a position of Managing Director since 2006. Mr. Gaistman is also the President of “La Casa del Yogurt” in Mexico City, a chain of frozen yogurts. Prior to working at the Firm and IPG, he was the owner and President of Degai Textil, S.A. de C.V. in Mexico City, Mexico, a textile manufacturing company from the years of 1993 to 2005. During that time he was in charge of 41 employees and $3,000,000.00 in sales a year.
Armando Garza
Mr. Garza is an investment adviser representative of IPG Investment Advisors, LLC. He is also a registered representative of Investment Placement Group (“IPG”), a securities broker/dealer, and has held a position of Managing Director since 2003. Prior to working at IPG, he worked at Dokoni Inc., a start-up software development firm from 2001 to 2002. He also worked as a banker at JP Morgan and Co. in New York from 1995 to 1999, where he participated in different stints that included the turn-around of a group that promoted banking of high net-worth clients in Mexico and Central America. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Garza worked in JP Morgan Grupo Financiero in Mexico City in the Investment Banking Department where he participated in the advisory team to the Government after the peso devaluation, which concluded with the Mexico return to the international capital markets. In addition to his banking and investment experience, he was an advisor to the director of external promotion in the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Development also in Mexico City from 1993 to 1994.
Bosco Lujan Valladolid
Mr. Lujan Valladolid is an Investment Advisor at IPG Investment Advisors, LLC and since 20008 has been a registered representative and associate at Investment Placement Group (“IPG”), a securities Broker Dealer in San Diego, CA. He holds an Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from ITESM Campus Monterrey, and is currently in the final stages of his MBA at UCSD Rady School of Management. Prior to working at IPG, Mr. Lujan was a marketing consultant for Real Estate developers in Baja California where he orchestrated a strategic alliance between Pottery Barn and West Elm and simultaneously ran Ubrinatti Tijuana, an Italian cabinetry and appliance business. From 2005 to 2006 he was an Account Manager at The Vidal Partnership in Los Angeles where he oversaw brands such as Nissan, Sprint, Diageo, The Home Depot, Kraft, Old Navy, and Wendy’s. From 2002-2005, Mr. Lujan Valladolid was responsible for sales and marketing of FEMSA Cerveza brands in New York and San Diego, and prior to that he was a New Business Coordinator at the Gamesa-Quaker (a Frito-Lay Company) in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Natan Rozen
Mr. Rozen is an investment adviser representative of IPG Investment Advisors, LLC . He is also a registered representative of Investment Placement Group (“IPG”), a securities broker/dealer, and has held a position of Managing Director since 2004. Prior to working at IPG, he worked as a Sales Manager/CFO at Muelbles Antiguos a furniture manufacturing company from 1999 to 2003. He also worked as a sales manager and assistant to the CFO in Unisource in Mexico City from 1994 to 1999, where he handled approximately 140 million dollars annually and oversaw 7 branches of the company. From 1980 to 1994 Mr. Rozen also held a position of sales manager as well as CFO in Centro del Papel in Mexico City where he oversaw sales in the excess of 15 million dollars annually.
Luisa Serena
Ms. Serena is an investment adviser representative of IPG Investment Advisors, LLC . She is also a registered representative of Investment Placement Group (“IPG”), a securities broker/dealer, and has held a position of Managing Director since 2009. Ms. Serena has a vast experience in private banking, prior to working at the Firm and IPG; she worked as a director from 2002 to 2009 at American Express Bank LTD which was bought by Standard Chartered Bank who later became Stanchart Securities International. During her tenure at American Express/Stanchart she established and managed the San Diego Office for private banking, there she managed high net worth client relationships. Ms. Serena worked as Vice-President and Senior Relationship Manager at Bank of America from 1994 to 2002. Prior to Bank of America, Ms Serena worked at First Interstate Bank of California from 1994 to 1995 and Security Pacific from 1974 to 1987 occupying management positions in their respective international private banking departments.
